“This is not an ATM” + video projection of found footage.
There is no money @ATMgallery | Austin, TX - USA
oct 7th - nov 7th | 2016
“This exhibition is the result of long-term research focused on understanding how the economic model (imposed in Chile during a dictatorship) has affected the way we relate to money as a society. ATMs are devices that allow us access to circulating money, this work visually analyzes the interaction that occurs with them in different places and areas of our territory. The exhibition offers a critical look at the current context, and it reveals the perception and behavior that we have when faced to a financial landscape both hostile and lacking in humanity.”
